The Mal D'Archive is a project at the turn of independent electronic and sound design that sees its distinctive feature in the intersection between two apparently irreconcilable worlds such as experimental music on the one hand and the "chanson" for the more harmonious and Matrix melodic heritage of Italian music on the other.

Pharadigmatic elements of Bapttisti (first of all, a master of music degree in commercial attention to the universe of sound and harmony), as well as Fabrizio DeAndrè, Leò Ferrè, George Brassens, Massimo Volume, and many others is mentioned as tutelar figures, fragmented and dissolved into a homogenous sound magma and inscrutable, but not for this lack of balance as large moments of pleasantness. The structures of cyclic ballads of popular music, once cut, destructured, with the ring out and "work" become sound fragment, bearer of spaces and places strong connotations. These capsules image-time tools that Le mal d'archive disclaim spatially, in many molds.

Le stesse storie mai finite



I Massimo Volume sono qualcosa di importante per la musica italiana, con la loro esperienza musical-letteraria hanno avuto il merito di reinventare il la forma-canzone intesa nel suo rapporto tra suono e parola, istillandovi venature in delay e distorsione di realtà crude ed ineluttabili, di estremi paradossi e virate cocenti ancora mai raccontate allora, e, senz’altro, mai più raccontate con lo stesso spudorato realismo, con la stessa ipnotica solennità colloquiale, con le stesse storie mai finite e proprio per questo cucite sulla pelle.
Oggi i Massimo Volume sono tornati, dopo più di dieci anni di assenza, per un tour di tributo a ciò che è stato, e probabilmente per qualcosa al futuro, “qualcosa sulla vita”.
Affrontiamo questo intricato percorso musicale ed umano confortati dalle risposte di Emidio Clementi (il Clementi, come gli autori che si studiano a scuola, di cui si ha soggezione), voce e parola del gruppo.
